SOLUTION DESIGN PRIORITIES

Charging that fits the building and its users.

01

Electrical safety

A qualified installer checks circuit capacity, earthing, protection and cable route.

02

Rights and metering

Private and shared bays need different authorization, metering and cost allocation.

03

Phased growth

Reserve distribution, conduits and management capacity before wider community adoption.

YOUR OPERATING GOALS

Home charging that fits the electrical installation and daily routine.

The goal is simple: plug in when parking and leave with the energy needed. The design still has to validate the circuit, protection, cable route, user access and the vehicle’s AC capability.

01

Reliable overnight charging

A dedicated 7 kW wallbox can cover typical daily use during long parking periods.

02

Installation safety

Circuit capacity, grounding and protection are checked before equipment selection.

03

Shared-building control

Access records and power sharing help serve multiple residents.

04

Lower-cost schedules

Charging can be scheduled when tariffs and local rules allow.

CONFIGURATION OPTIONS

Select by parking pattern and electrical reality.

A private garage and a shared apartment parking area have different access, metering and capacity needs.

ApplicationConfigurationSelection rationale
Occasional travel or emergency backupCompatible portable chargerFlexible use, subject to outlet, circuit and local requirements.

FROM DESIGN TO HANDOVER

A simple installation still needs a clear process.

  1. 01

    Confirm the vehicle

Connector, onboard AC power and daily energy need.

  2. 02

    Inspect the supply

Panel capacity, circuit distance, grounding and protection.

  3. 03

    Choose the location

Parking position, cable reach, weather exposure and daily access.

  4. 04

    Install and test

Dedicated circuit, protection, mounting, connectivity and vehicle test.

  5. 05

    Set daily use

Schedules, users, records and support contact where applicable.

10 questions

01Is 7 kW enough for home charging?

For many drivers with overnight parking, yes. Final suitability depends on daily energy use and the vehicle’s onboard AC limit.

02Can I use a normal outlet?

Only with compatible portable equipment and after confirming the outlet, circuit, grounding, protection and local rules.

03How long will charging take?

Approximate time equals energy to add divided by the lower of charger power and vehicle acceptance, with allowance for losses and tapering.

04Can residents be billed separately?

Depending on the selected platform and local rules, sessions can be associated with users and exported for billing or reconciliation.

05What if several cars charge together?

A shared site limit can distribute available power among active vehicles and prevent overload.

06Who should install the charger?

A qualified local electrician should install and test the circuit, protection, grounding and equipment according to local requirements.

07Can tenants relocate a fixed charger when moving?

Ownership and reinstatement responsibilities should be agreed first. A qualified installer must assess removal and installation at the new site; fixed equipment is not simply a portable appliance.

08How can a community add more charging bays later?

Reserve electrical capacity, conduit routes and management capacity before the first installation. Check whether load management or an electrical upgrade is needed as participation grows.

09Does each resident need an individual account?

Individual authorization may help for shared bays and cost allocation. A private single-user bay can be simpler. Confirm the access options of the selected model and software.

10What information should the installer receive?

Provide the equipment manual, vehicle details and proposed location. The installer must verify current, earthing, protective devices and the applicable local installation requirements.
